I'm not even sure what those five words mean anymore, but I'm convinced everyone has their own idea.  Yes, we haven't had much to cheer about the past season and a half of Gator football, and Gator fans are going to complain and voice their opinions about what they feel the problems are, and what steps should be taken to solve those problems.  It's what fans do, and I include myself in that group.  Sure people may disagree but that's ok.

However, when voicing my displeasure about the coaches or players I've been hearing "In all kinds of weather guys.  Either you're a Gator or you're not."  In short don't say anything bad about the coaches or the players because if you do then you're not a Gator, you're not one of us.  To me that's pretty creepy and it places us in the same category as a cult to suggest that we must all think and act accordingly or be excommunicated.

So what does "In all kinds of weather we all stick together" mean to me?  I don't know.  Maybe it means we can argue, fight, complain, and agree with each other about the Gators, but a fan of another team isn't allowed to run our team down with us because we won't allow it.  The sad thing is I've seen some Gator fans take sides with nole or vol fans against another Gator.  Those are the Gator fans those five words need to be told, not the ones who have an opinion about our team/coaches.

End of rant. 

I unfollowed it today because of the brutal harshness of some of the posts scrolling down my newsfeed.  Vicious. Represented to me the exact opposite oF what that term means.

 To me it means, support your team, criticize when you feel so inclined, but never lose your sense of respect, regard, and familial feelings for those who represent your team.  You can call for Driskel to be benched, but the kid is a Gator.  So do it with a sense of humanity.
