"UUGGGGHHHH!! My Plan almost worked....."

Oh well, I guess two out of three ain't bad (or so the saying goes).

I did some serious drinking during the UF/LSU game thinking it might somehow numb the pain of watching our offense struggle on the field (with specific plays, play execution, personnel used, personnel groupings, offense philosophy and play calling). As the game approached, it just seemed like too much for me to take. The plan was to drink until I passed out. Didn't work. I just got more agitated and wound up as the game progressed and ended up wide awake (but hammered) and bumping around the house most of the night until dawn. Even a cold shower at 3:30 am didn't seem to calm me down much.

A couple of posters requested a report of the major proceedings which are as follows...

#1. Success!! As I slammed bourbon's with a splash of Coke and the game progressed, I found myself yelling at the WR's, the CB's, the RB's, the QB, the Reff's, the announcers (Mushmouth), the coaches and the play calling, etc.... Screaming and ranting really. My language was quite ah, "Strong and Colorful" let's say. My wife came downstairs to tell me that I was going to Hell. Not much conversation with her after that. She retreated to the Master bedroom and shut the door.

#2. Success!! Not as bad of a headache as I had imagined. It has been years since I really tried to tie one on and actually, the headache wasn't the worst of it on Sunday. I had completely forgotten about the nausea. UGH. That, was the killer all day on Sunday. Yeah, I should eat something but even the thought of it gagged me. Not sure why I was so nauseous. Didn't throw up but still felt like a horse had kicked me in the gut. Liquids, some soup and finally forced a few bites of real food down for a late dinner. Whew!!

#3. Failure!! *&%$#*!! I don't think that if I drank 2 gallons of bourbon I could ever forget the image burned into my brain of our tight end wide open in the end zone dropping the pass that hit him right in his hands. REALLY?? The game winning TD. IN your hands!! (I wonder how often little boys dream of coming across the end zone, breaking into the open and having the game winning pass come to them? A gazillion times?) Not only did he "drop" the pass, it was as if his hands were made of Flubber and the ball was repelled from his hands when they touched. He may have had a better chance of catching that ball with just two stumps waving around and no hands at the end of his arms all. All the madness that had gone on could have gone away with that one simple catch.

Not sure what you do here? Line them up and have a ball machine fire 500 passes a day at them? 1000 passes a day? Every day for months and months? Two years ago we signed Colin Thompson and Kent Taylor (#2 AND #4 TE in the country) and neither one is still on the roster. Gerald Christian could catch. Not sure why bailed either. We start two Defensive ends at TE. UGH!!

Anyway, that's the highlights (or lowlights - what ever the case may be). No one injured (Just my pride and digestive tract). Not so much drinking next week. Maybe I'll just try to eat chicken wings until I pass out into a coma instead. ;-) Go Gators!!
