had awesome chicken fingers and chips tailgating, and they enjoyed throwing football around outside of the stadium. my buddy had several growlers of Swamphead ale for he and I (soda for the kids which is a treat for them).
they hadnt been to a game in a few years, so their ability to absorb all the sights and sounds of gametime is expanded now. they enjoyed the intro videos and the team running onto the field, and had fun swaying and singing "We are the boys" at halftime and at the end of the third quarter. The piped in pop music that I find annoying was great to them. They were happy to see the Gators score two touchdowns even in a losing cause, and to cheer and high-five me and each other.
of course, the field play is less consequential to them than the stadium snacks available-- they scarfed down cotton candy; barbecue pork nachos; cheeseburgers, and fries. and more soda.
all in all, we had a really good fambly experience. I only put my foot down at buying $30 hats at the stadium, opting for cheaper Gators caps the next day at WallyWorld.
so, looks like we got two more future Gator fans firmly brainwashed! Go Gators! Go UF!
