Title nine allows them to exist and each program has it's own set of benefactors that support the different programs. They may not have as much, but they certainly will never need to be on their hands and knees thanking football for their existance. 

They do so with honor, integrity, passion and pride.  When I was a student at UF I attended each of our sports at least once (including cross country, which you watch for a second), and many I attended frequently (beyond football and men's hoops that would include volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball and women's hoops).  All of these sporting events were fun and I had a great time attending them with friends.  While an athletics program to me is not part of the core mission of any university, having a program as robust as ours speaks well for the University of Florida.  To diminish their success simply because they aren't part of the multi-billion dollar industry that is college football is demeaning to the athletes who work just as hard at their sport as our football players do, and  dismisses much that is great about our Gators.
