I am of the mind that Muschamp needs to go...

he could be turning the corner as a head coach right now and win out out but the inertia against him at this point is too great, IMO.

Having said that, the ripping he is taking taking from a few over the Orr thing is simply illogical. Here are some phrases written on this board (may not be exact quotes but you will get the point):

"They are kids, this is a teachable moment"-Orr is not a kid. Not a fully formed adult mentally but certainly not a kid. Do you not think that sending him home on a bus is a teaching tool? Do you just assume it was the first thing Coach did? I don't think it was.

"Sure does not look like a team that loves and respects it's coach". This phrase just does not pass the smell test. They just just won a second game in a row, handily and the coach is still fighting for his job. There are 85 scholarship guys on a team and a number of walk-ons. With that many people involved it is virtually impossible to please all the people all the time.

"He lied to him about starting". This is perhaps the most illogical one of them all. Here is how it works. You start until someone else earns the start or you do something to lose it. As coach Tony pointed out, they rotate the defensive linemen a lot so it probably did not mean losing any snaps, just losing your name being called over the speakers as a starter.

With Muschamp still fighting to keep his job it would be the easiest thing for him to start Orr (because he is a really good player) and leave it at that. You just don't send a good player home for no reason. Another phrase written here was "it's his way or the highway". THAT IS EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE TOO!". He is the head coach. He sets the rules that the players must follow and he sets the punishments for the violations of those team rules. He hurts his players, as people, if he does not follow through with this.

I have had issues with Muschamp's coaching. I have never had any issues with his discipline. No "european rules" or "praying for misdemeanors" or kicking off a 3rd team linebacker because your star QB stole/raped/point shaved.

Now can we please get on to enjoying 2 consecutive dominationg wins?

==============================

Not sure if he can win me back to believing he deserves to stay after the season, but he has won me over by showing he is a quality person.  No matter what happens, I wish him well.
