Message Replied To ========== What this overlooks is recruiting. It is simply not going to turn around this season. This class is going to suck. The key Offensive studs we need so badly are off the table. The best we could hope for is to land 2-3 real studs on Defense who were previously thought to be Gator locks but who now are visiting pretty much everybody. So no help coming in. Given the players graduating and moving on both on the OL and DL and its easy to imagine UF not contending for the division title again next year. What then? Many of the fans will want him gone even going into the season. Every recruit will once again know the Muschamp regime is not stable. If we have to make a change then that class too will suck because the new coach won't have time to build relationships. How many recruiting classes in a row are we prepared to just write off? It only takes 2 of those in a row to really hurt a program. Foley claims he pays attention to recruiting. If that's true, there is simply no way to keep him. He has run out of time. ==============================becoming Tennessee if he comes back and goes in the crapper again next year. I am sure he is a great guy on some personal level but I suspect that if you had a beer with Don DeVoe you would probably like him too. I hope he wins out and leaves with some degree of respect and with his head heal high and finds a great new job. The key word is " leaves. " |
