I haven't frequented the board nearly as much as I used to over the last few months due to not feeling like doing much of anything other than sitting here watching TV, checking my email, and looking at facebook off and on. For the most part, I spend a lot of time doing nothing and sitting back in the recliner with my eyes closed which SO goes against my grain, but it is what it is, so I've been going with the flow until I get through this.  I had my last chemo treatment a week ago (Hallelujah!), so I'm looking forward to life getting back to normal, at least until I start my surgeries again next year.

I can't express how much the love and support that I've received from VS members have meant to me, and to Greg as well!!!  We've made some wonderful friends thanks to the VS.  Some we've had the pleasure of meeting many of you in person, (and have had some fantastic times and made lifetime memories) yet, there are many that we haven't been blessed with meeting yet, but between the mudmails, emails, FB messages, and even gracious gifts that we've received from some of the VS members, it's proven that there are some truly wonderful people that make the VS the thriving "virtual" family that it has become.

I have a sister that contacted me via email when she heard that I had breast cancer to tell me that she wanted nothing to do with anyone in the family anymore, but if I needed any help to let her know.  Her email spoke volumes and I wouldn't call her for all of the tea in China (or beer in Germany, or bourbon in Kentucky, you get the point).;-)  I also have two brothers that are so wrapped up in their own worlds that they only know anything that's going on with me by updates from our father.  I haven't heard from either of them in months.   So, to know that many members of this virtual family have taken the time to send me very sweet, caring messages, emails, cards, and gifts means more than any of you could know!!! 

Thank you Bob and Wayne for all that you have done over the years to allow the VS and WHAB (can't forget the VTTW also) "family" to become what it has!

For so many years you provided a great counter-balance to the testosterone overload here.  Don't for a second underestimate your place throughout the years as a part of the VS community.  The recipes, the dead frog, the customer service nightmares, the endless minutia about your kids.  Your and Greg's amazing Tailgate preparation.  The VS would never have been the same without you, and for that I thank you.  Your spirit, your kindness, and your friendship has had a great impact on many here.  So take that.
