Message Replied To ========== I still think he was not primarily to blame on that play. The LSU drop was far worse, IMO. I bet if/when WM looks at the tape he will realize he was overly harsh on Westbrook. The ball was thrown behind him -- likely because Harris had a DL in his face with his hands up, and couldn't put the ball on target. Because of how close Harris and Westbrook were to each other and a quick throw, he didn't have time to react to the off-target ball and it bounced off his back shoulder -- a really tough play for anyone to make. I think WM reacted the way he did because Westbrook was already in the doghouse about the LSU drop and this just set WM off.============================== Sure, Tevin's 2 plays impacted Muschamp's career (in Will's mind) but he's just a kid. The pass yesterday was a tough catch. Will's emotions got the best of him. A leader does not call out a college kid in public like that - particular a leader who has just gotten fired for being far from perfect himself. Will has no business throwing stones at ANYONE at this point. I hope Will also calls the new coach and tells him what a great kid Tevin is and that he overreacted and should go in with a clean slate. And, I'll throw Willis into this as well. I don't know the kid, but Will's comments about "if I was still coach, blah, blah, blah". The kids screwed up and rightfully was kicked out. Just leave it at that...no need to embarrass the kid in public again. And once more, the last guy to be criticizing ANYONE at this point is CWM. These comments are a microcosm of his failure. |
