And his foresight proved prescient given how the last year has unfolded.============================== ...at some point, UF administrators must consider the reputation a prospective coach will have about the athletic administration. If we fired Muschamp last year, coming off a great record and will all the injuries, would a HR hire want to come here in the future? Now look at the way Muschamp went out this year. UF looks like an absolutely fantastic place to work. The guy who got fired even loves the place. My wild speculation is that Foley had a tentative "yes" from someone before Muschamp was (publicly) fired. Just a guess. If Foley was able to pull that off, part of the reason was the way UF gave Muschamp more than enough opportunity and resources to succeed. |
