everyone else that met him at our school)

First off, our head football coach knew Coach Mac from before...he had recruited the Tampa area and had recruited one of our players when he coached at Michigan State. Anyway, originally Coach Mac was supposed to come Monday and my coach said he was going to surprise me and bring him by my office...well, then he told me it got postponed to Thursday like I had posted.  Tuesday morning, one of our assistant football coaches comes by my office and said that he was sent to tell me to come by our head football coach's office cause Coach Mac had just texted that he would be there in 20 minutes (airport not far away), so after about 20 minutes...I went down to the office...one of my other students (just verbally committed to Eastern Michigan..was our QB) says, "I just talked to the Florida coach, he is here".  So our head coach was waiting for me outside his office and took me in to meet Coach Mac. He told him, "If I did not bring this lady in to meet you, she would have killed me....she loves the Gators and is a huge fan".  So Coach Mac had this huge smile...so warm and genuine, came over to shake my hand. He asked if I knew/heard about him...course I told I was excited and yes, had read all about him the last couple of weeks....he smiled this huge smile again. Course I told him that I had been a Gator since birth and had season tickets since '85 and that I was going to renew now because of him...he got very excited and high fived me and told that he was excited to be our coach and was happy I would be in the Swamp.  My coach then came in and took our picture together (we had our arms around each other and everyone that see it says it is a great photo). I also told him that the Virtual Swamp message board said for me to tell him that the Gator Nation supports him and were looking forward to him coaching and winning next year (Mud, do I get anything for putting a good word in for the VS?;)).  Our star recruit that everyone wants but is committed else where at the moment was there (Oh and T Rob was sitting at the table too..an aside...our head basketball coach that played for UF when we won our very first out right SEC title told that me that T Rob and Durkin were definitely staying...just repeating what he said...), so I told Coach Mac what a wonderful young man our star is and that even tho I am not the young man's counselor, that I can say that cause the young man comes in to talk to me and I know him pretty well ; so Coach Mac said...yes...he had heard a lot of great things about him... and "wouldn't he look good in the Blue and Orange" (I did not want to tell him that it is the Orange and Blue as he will learn all our traditions etc).  Of course I said yes he would! Then as I was leaving I asked about a women's football clinic and he told that yes, he was going to have one,  that he has those every where he has coached (so Native....:)). I love him, everyone that met him says the same...my principal said he also thought he is a dynamic guy..and will do wonders for UF.  The only thing he needs is the right color orange tie..he had a blue shirt with that vol colored tie and a Gator lapel pin....all Gators that met him that day mentioned it...I of course did not want to say anything cause I am sure Donna D will help him find the right Gator orange tieI can tell you when you meet him, you can feel his enthusiasm, excitement, and fire...I really believe J. Foley did a great job (I met WM at my school too last year..and of course I supported him cause he was our coach...and he was very nice...but he does not have the personality and warmth that this man does...just my personal observation and opinion of course).

Kiffy was there today...but I did not go out of my way to meet him....could care less...also the Clemson RB coach was in our office today....I have not talked to our star player to see what he thought of our Coach Mac yet.  I am sure I will at some point.
