What have they ever done in the way of state sponsored Terrorism? I get that they may have abused their own peoples human rights, but that is not terrorism.==============================

The Cuban government has supported terrorist groups in Puerto Rico (the most famous attack was a 1982 Wells Fargo attack), Angola, Grenada, several central American states, financially supports death squads in Haiti... It is Cuban money backing the current violence in Haiti this month against the Martelly government. Cuba has sent assassins to South Florida to kill leaders of the Cuban exile community..

Let your fishing boat wander into waters they claim in the Florida Straights but that nobody else recognizes and you will see what "good" neighbors they are. .

Cuba has had an extensive chemical and biological weapons program (but have never implemented it beyond research due to lack of funding).

Their foreign activities have been curtailed quite a bit since the fall of the Soviet Union as they were acting mainly as a puppet state for the Soviets and their economy has dwindled significantly since then... they no longer have the funds to do much of what they did in the 70's, 80's and nineties.

But the Cuban government is NOT just a poorly misunderstood Caribbean nation. They foment trouble throughout the world, specifically in this hemisphere.

The Castros and their supporters are a crime syndicate, pure and simple.

We should have leveraged much more in concessions from them in exchange for relaxing the embargo. What we did is decidedly one sided in the Cuban governments favor and will serve to prop them up a bit longer.

Just 5 days ago they arrested 64 wives of disappeared political prisoners because they had an assembly to protest on "Human Rights Day".
