was one of the hardest hitting games I have seen us involved in.  No pussification on that field.  And the trainers and med staff had their work cut out for them.

In retrospect...that game had every red flag, before and during, that normally spells  a capital L for this Gator team.  Interim lame duck head coach, ditto for the rest of the staff, players heading for the NFL who could be expected to play with caution, a longer layoff between games than most bowl teams had, lots of attrition in positions we couldn't afford to lose more in, a smaller school opponent with more to prove, a close Muschampian type game where we let them hang around until the end, lots of injuries throughout the game, and an opponent with a prolific passing game.

But again this team found a way to befuddle and bemuse....this time in a good way.  Say what you will about the style of play, the mistakes, bad non calls throughout...but these kids played with heart and maturity and that deserves acknowledgment.
