Since he started in T-Ball, we have drilled in him playing the game the right way...hard but clean. You play for your team, not yourself. You conduct yourself the right way. Learn how to win. Learn how to lose.

I remember a couple years ago he had one of those days. Cursed out the pitcher. Mouthed out to the ump. I had him that weekend as the parents were out of town with Mini-kid at a gymnastics meet. 

I had him pulled from the game. Then and there he was handed a full suspension for the next weekend games. By me. He has never acted up again.

But, alas, I guess, in reading the board, I have been SOOOOOOO very wrong all of this time.

I really should have taught him that multiple fights with his own teammates is really just OK. Punching out an opposing player when you aren't even in the game is, well, it is just OK

Quitting...yes, just outright quitting on your team before an important game is, well, just OK.

I have learned my lesson.
