Weather related rather than cheating? Read on.

"Goodyear experts explain that air pressure in a tire typically goes down 1-2 pounds for every 10 degrees of temperature change."

It was reportedly 51 degrees at kickoff. Low that night was 17. Did it drop 10 degrees during the game? I don't know. I do know the Pats waxed them in the second half after the balls were switched out.

Because other NFL fans are butthurt the League will probably take away a draft pick or two, but even that seems excessive unless they can show proof that a NE staff member intentionally deflated the balls.  I think the weather had far more to do with this than any person.  And what about the refs?  They handled the #badword#ing things on every play and they couldn't tell?If that's the case seems like it is a pretty insignificant deal.
