Few who are not merely trolling enjoy conflict and disagreement; especially when it seems unified against our opinions. I know. When beloved LSU poster Jeremy died, I posted critical thoughts about suicide here based on my police experience and was vilified. I was mortified and wanted to crawl into a Steve Buscemi blow up doll and never return to this place. Well, not exactly, but you get the picture. Eeeww.

Only Viking and I know what it is like to be undressed by Baby Sis. Him at home and me in her response about Jeremy. She let me have it. And guess what? She was right. Her perspective literally changed my career-based opinion overnight. She won't remember, but I do. I stuck it out, though. Before year's end, Baby Sis was sending me advice about charities and education-based gifts in my first attempt as Secret Santa for a deprived family.

That's how it has worked here for me on the Virtual Swamp. Post something stupid. Post something drunk. Post something thoughtful. Post something brilliant. Tomorrow comes. Members forgive and even more forget. When we log on, the first posts we read are replies to our own. Why? Because that is why we wrote them. Any response is good. Learn from them, respond with an argument, or ignore them. Try not to get mad. Nobody cares beyond the moment. And when you are gone, you are gone. Nobody cares at all then.
