of the Patriot System. He is some where over seas on a temp assignment. Since he was recently in the Mid East, I figure it is Germany's time. Even though I had a Top Secret Clearance with a EWP attachment when I was in the military he cannot always share what he is doing or where he is.
A short story for some of you parents who still have small children never give up hope if they have problems. When my son was 5 years old he began to have all kinds of problems in school and at home. We had him tested every which way and got advice to send him to one of those schools for the mental challenged. Having watched him memorize the entire scripts from TV shows, I could not accept that.
We finally got him to a program at Auburn University that used oral rather than written test. The results were that not only was he not handicapped, but that he was on the edge of brilliance. Back in those days learning disabilities and dysleksia
were not understood.
Going forward he graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in computer science and then attended UAH for his masters in math. He continued on and was working on hi dissertation for his PHD. when he was offered the position he has held for a number of years. His faculty advisor advised him to take it.
Long story short never give up on your kids and keep encouraging to do better.
