her.  I'll share this again, because I love telling this story! ;-) When he told me that he was going to move in with her, he said that he was only taking his clothing, personal items, and dogs, because she had everything in her home that they needed.  Before we knew it, he was taking truck loads of things to her home.  I kept advising him that it was unnecessary, but he listened to her and went against my advice and took absolutely everything that he owned to her house!  I kept pointing out that she already had everything that she needed in her home, and more, so I didn't understand why she wanted him to bring everything he owned, down to the paper towel holder and salt and pepper shaker!

We had already put two and two together after visiting her home previously and seeing several dining rooms sets, living room sets, 5 patio sets, 10 crock pots, etc., that she must have acquired all of her belongings by scamming men, which is exactly what she was doing with my father.  So, knowing that she monitored his email several times a day, I typed up a detailed list of absolutely everything that he took to her house, and worded the email as if he had asked me to type up the list for him. I mentioned that the list was going to be provided to the insurance company to make sure that all of his valuables were covered. This was my way of letting her know that we were aware of everything of his that she now had under her roof.

She read the email, and nonchalantly went back to fixing dinner.  When dinner was almost prepared, she casually mentioned to him that he should check his email while she was finishing up.  She waited until he sat down to read it then completely lost her mind.  She went ballistic, screaming at the top of her lungs, throwing things, breaking things, then told him to get the hell out, and that he wasn't taking a one thing with him other than his dogs.

He called me as he was driving home, completely shaken, and said had never watched anyone act that crazy.  I called the Sheriff's Dept., explained what happened, and told them that she was refusing to allow him to get any of his belongs, that I was concerned for his safety after the way she acted, and pointed out that she had all of his guns in her possession, so they escorted him back the next day as he took a moving truck with him.  He still ended up leaving several items behind because he was so bumfuzzled over what happened,  (he thought he was madly in love with this woman!) but thankfully he did get most of his belongings and most importantly, she is completely out of his life!!!

The lady he is with now is just the sweetest thing in the world!  They are polar opposites, he is 75 and she is 78, he is quite a redneck that's rough around the edges, she is a very prim and proper, soft spoken yankee, but they are extremely happy together.  It was devastating to lose my mother, but seeing Dad so happy at this point in his life brings me great joy! :-)
