 It seems that you might be carrying around a dated grudge.  Those hippie professors you are talking about for the most part are now collecting Social Security. Most are picking up adjunct courses and bitching about their lack of retirement pay. They hoped their gub'ment pay would be enough and wouldn't invest in the stock market.  They make enough to keep those ponytails trimmed off that's about it. But, I digress. the UF kids were idiots, and they are a very small minority. vets coming back to a much better world just time.  The VA is offering many more quality of life programs.  For the most part, people are treating them exceptionally well.  Not perfect. But, no comparison to the past.  There are countless volunteer programs. Folks from all over are contributing time and money. Democrats and republicans alike. Wounded warriors is an example.  You're going to have to dig real deep to find anybody here and elsewhere who thinks otherwise.
