Message Replied To ========== We progressed despite religion, not because of it. I agree we aren't as religious as a nation, but religious fanaticism has been given a platform larger than ever before. When this fanaticism gets elected to office it can dry up funding for scientific research, and that's where most of the research funding originates. ==============================There are many examples in history of religion behaving badly. But there are also many examples where religion saved western society.
