Do you think all that extra staff that was hired for the sole purpose of recruiting and evaluation was put in place to only go after players no one else wanted? The Gator football program is a Ferrari that Muschamp ran the gas out of, and coasted into a ditch. Coach Mac has the job of  pulling it out of the ditch, and filling the tank at the same time. That's no easy task. 

I trust the coaching staff because of what they did in recruiting last season by taking us from something like 93 down to 23. This year we look to have a top ten class. Just be patient and look at the big picture. 

we needed a QB for this year's class yes but one who the coaches feel they can develop over time is fine.  McElroy and McCarron at Bama were not highly rated - nor was the guy at Colorado State.  Coach Mac got excellent production out of all 3.  His track record indicates he knows how to evaluate and develop QB's.  They got a good close look at this guy in a few camps and while this won't count for much with others, I've heard several fans from aTm, TCU and others ie Texas locals saying Trask is no slouch when others (read trolls and sow fans) tried to give UF crap for taking this guy.

If it doesn't work out....fine, so what?  He'll move on.  I don't see why it should worry anybody that the staff has chosen to take Trask.  I do have some concerns about the number of lesser rated prospects we are taking but obviously the staff wants them and thinks they can play.  I am hoping we reel in some of the highly rated guys we have a good shot at....like Lawrence (#1 rated prospect in America) at DT, like Nate Craig-Myers (#5 rated prospect in America), Victor and Bruce at WR. 

I think if the Offense starts looking like it has a clue in the latter half of the season....the first time we will have looked like we had a clue on Offense since 2009....it will help immensely in recruiting.  Offensive recruits simply had no confidence in Chump's Offense making it impossible for us to get the talent we needed.
