I've had my ass chewed much longer with a profanity level of legendary, for much less and even when I didn't personally do anything wrong. I had a Gunny that had a PhD in creative ass chewing. Ass chewings are a dime a dozen, correct yourself and move on. Besides, F-bombs are both a noun and an adjective in the Corps, so I'm immune to it. I guess I'm confused that people are shocked that salty language exists in football. I'm not surprised that there are members of the media and society that frown on on-the-spot discipline...or any form of discipline.
