Okay, a couple of weeks ago I posted my retirement notice of lung cancer.  Nice present.  So this is what is happening now. 

Two weeks ago today, I underwent surgery to remove it plus a part of lung.  The surgery went great and all were optimistic.  All the tumor was removed cleanly and all the node samples were clear.  So basically I have to just report for a CT scan every 6 months for the next two years and then yearly thereafter as long as everything stays clean. 

The only lingering effect will be that of breathing and endurance.  I am told that it will take 3 months to regain my endurance so that I don't run out of breath so quickly.  I am improving so quickly it's kinda scary.  Anyway thanks for all the good wishes and I hope none of my Gator friends have to go through this but if you do, just remember it's not that bad and you can whip it.  Not saying I have whipped it but I'm damn sure fighting it.  I won this round anyway.  GO GATORS
