so I mentioned he was on my intramural basketball team. Our dorm team had a game and we didn't have enough players. We were intramural junkies and the idea of forfeiting was unacceptable. I had met Tyrone in a PE volleyball class and while we were about to forfeit, he walks into Alligator Alley. I asked he wanted to play and he said sure. I told him he needed his ID and as he went back to Yon Hall he asks if he could bring some friends! I say sure!

Our team consisted of a handful of decent Caucasian athletes and Tyrone brings James Jones, Russell Gallon, Dwayne Dixon, and Derick Rolle! One of us dorm rats lofted a picture perfect alley oop to James jones and he nearly took the goal down with his dunk! Well we asked Tyrone and crew if they wanted to play in the next game and they all said yes. Well we continued to win and Tyrone would enter the gym yelling"we gonna blow you out the gym" and we did. 

We made it to the finals to play against David Little, David galloway and other defensive stars. We won the first half, but our fb guys had conditioning that day and could not summon the energy to play the second half so all us skinny white boys got destroyed by world class athletes. In those days all the different championships were played in the Dome and there were a fair number of people there. What a fun time. TY was a fun person and he made my college experience complete. RIP.
