Message Replied To ========== Talked to a very good friend today... He played at UGA and was a grad assistant at Ole Miss. He said Will didn't do such a bad job for you Lizards, now did he? He built that team. And how bout them Lizards... You guys are legit! He also said that how can you guys go getting a good Christian man like Mark Richt fired!?.... He's done. My buddy can't believe the big time booster former ardent Richt supporters who still love him but say he should no longer be the coach of UGA. It's over. Oh and part of my love for Will Muschamp- I know many here despise it- is based on him being a good friend of a good friend. My good friend and I both still believe in Coach Muschamp. ============================== even while being paid millions in severance. He was a complete meathead who challenged a heckling fan to a fight (come down here!), was extremely defensive with the media even when asked entirely reasonable questions (do you know what a midline is?), lashed out at fans (some of our fans need to get a grip!), even while having his hand bandaged for punching through a blackboard at halftime......and that's to say nothing if his constant f-bomb laden berating of players on the sidelines for HIS own incompetence. He was not merely a bad coach, he was a constant embarrassment to the University with his out of control sideline antics. He was easily THE worst coach UF has had since Doug Dickey and once all the factors are weighed....ie growth of the state in the intervening 40 years, massive success of the UF program in that time, being left a very talented team by Urban Meyer, I think it beyond dispute that he was THE worst coach UF has had in the last several generations. The best thing he ever did at UF was leave. I only wish it had come sooner. |
