The investiture of Dr. W. Kent Fuchs as UF's 12th president was this afternoon. He has been in office since January, but this was his official "Inauguration Week."

The investiture was a pretty cool ceremony at University Auditorium with lots of pomp and circumstance.  Three former presidents--Machen, Lombardi, and Criser--were there, as were the presidents or delegates from many other universities, a bunch of state officials, and a lot of other dignitaries. This picture was as the former presidents were passing the "chain of office" to him.
