"glad I bailed when I did....after the first drive of the 2nd half"

I know an asswhipping when I see one.

Good season.  We got way more out of the flaming sack of dog crap that Chump handed to Coach Mac than anybody had a right to expect.

Yes, our program was a flaming sack of dog crap a year ago.  Coach Mac did a helluva lot with just one month to recruit last year.  We're a few key Offensive recruits in this class away from signing the kind of Offensive class we have needed and have not gotten since about 2008 or 2009.  No, we're not going to be worldbeaters on Offense next year given how young we'll be, but I'd bet we will at least be competent for the first time since 2009.  At least then we'll have a fighting chance against quality opponents.  We could then have a reasonable hope to be legitimately good in 2017.

“Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late… It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision… It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.”  Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864

"I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of a free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it." Robert E. Lee
