probably have a good chance of outperforming the last four or five classes. There's far more balance, which is absolutely necessary for the long run. We now have a good stable of playmakers on offense to work with. Our recruiting effort on offense for this class are amazing when compared to what the offense looked like last season. The kids obviously see potential in the years to come. If we are going to compete with the elite of the SEC, we need elite playmakers, and they don't want to play on a team with a boring, crappy offense.

It's unfortunate what happened with Grier, but the offense was definitely starting to look better up until that point. This class should build on that momentum. Coach Mac knows offense. It will look markedly better in the next year or two. That will attract even better players. This is Florida, after all. If we have a fun, open offense that scores a lot and spreads the ball around, the best kids in state will at least be looking at and talking about us. Even through last year there still wasn't much to talk about, especially given how we finished.

It sucks that we got so unbalanced, but it's happened to many teams. Some have clawed their way back; others have not. I truly believe we're in the former.

We've also learned a valuable lesson--for the second time. Hire an offensive-minded coach with prior head coaching experience. It works at UF. The opposite does not.

Time to kick ass.
