I had put my own healthcare on hold when my wife got sick because, well, it did not matter if I relapsed, I had to keep working to support my family.
She is doing better and nearing the end of her year long chemotherapy...and I have some major career decisions to make as well.
So I ordered a CT scan on myself yesterday and it shows I am still in remission four years later. I sent the CT out to my old professor at MD Anderson and he told me I now have less than a 5% chance of relapse. Now I am just dealing with the side effects of my treatment.
So, good news!
Anyone want to hire a (more than) slightly used oncologist?
