Obamacare is an act called the Affordable Care Act. It's not an insurance company. So "Obamacare premiums" can't go up because it doesn't exist.

i know it sucks when insurance companies can't deny coverage to people based on pre-existing conditions; they can't cap coverage at a certain dollar amount over the course of a year, they didn’t get to charge higher rates based only on gender, or based on any medical condition (unless you’re a smoker), but all anyone has to do is look at Massachusetts to see the direction this will go.

insurance premiums may go up a little if regulators allow it, but most probably won't.

....all those promises made during passing of the "Affordable" care act. "You can keep your own doctor". "Healthy people will join and keep premiums down for everyone". "There will be plenty of choices". All of which were pretty clearly unrealistic to those who actually read it before it passed.

The other problems have been well-documented by Chemo here, namely that it's driving many docs out of practice entirely.
