"Second opinions are a good thing. Even with dogs"

My daughter and her BF got a puppy a couple of months ago.  A cute/ugly English Bulldog named Tank.  Of course he became my 24 year old daughter's baby.  Last weekend she came home to be with her grandma for Mother's day and they left the dog with some friends.  The returned home on Tuesday and picked up the pup and found him to be getting increasing sick/weak/vomiting and even falling over.  They rushed him to an animal hosptial and Wednesday morning she called me crying hysterically that her puppy had contracted Parvo and the vet said it was a severe case and the dog needed to be put down.

She was inconsolable of course.  They decided to take the pup to another vet for a second opinion.  That vet said she will make no promises but she would like the chance to try to save him.  Gave a price estimate of $750-$1,200.

Here is a pic taken this morning of a perfectly healthy and happy pup on his way home with his equally happy parents.  And the vet ended up charging them just $350.  And as those of us with daughters know...Happy daughter = Happy daddy.
