in my opinion, it matters most. I've never had an issue with Foley. I think he's great. Since you brought it up though, let's be real...If every Gator on earth was polled and asked in what sport would they most like to see UF win a National Championship in, I'd be shocked if the results would yield anything less than 95% in favor of football. Not a knock on the other sports but that's just the way it is.==============================

Not just that, but ONLY men's basketball and football generate large media deals...as they are the ONLY sports people watch on television. Sure, some of the other sports have niche followings and are televised, but the ratings and commercial interests do not compare to the big two.

In fact, all the interest in all the other sports combined is only a fraction of that for football.

It reads well and makes us all seem more suoportive if we agree with the notion that winning in sports like softball and lacross is just as important as winning in football. But there exists overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Count me among those who are honest enough to profess that I would trade titles from other sports for football titles. And wouldn't think twice about it.

Winning in the non-revenue sports is great...as long as football and basketball are winning also.
