BBG ==============================I have plenty of disagreements with how they operate. But the NRA remains the preeminent civilian organization promoting safe and responsible firearm use and ownership. Practically every police agency in the country receives the majority of their firearms training from the NRA. Making every street in America safer. The NRA sets the standards and trains the trainers for almost all hunter safety courses. Making the great outdoors safer, and seriously helping to preserve and maintain our natural resources. Here's a quick compendium of their primary endeavors. The NRA budget is $350MM plus. This link below explains that most of it comes from regular guys like you and me. They only spend about 10-15MM per annum on lobbying and political donations. http://money.cnn.com/news/cnnmoney-investigates/nra-funding-donors/ Like I said, I have plenty of disagreements on the particulars of how the NRA operates. It could be a long post actually. But America still needs the NRA and they do more right than wrong. The NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) is the organization that is more the voice of the gun industry.
