again, most of the violations were from other sports or previous coaches. We beat Alabama two years in a row and Saban cried to anyone who would listen and we were singled out. Wonder how Alabama or other "traditional powers" would fare under such four-year scrutiny

the NFL draft night allegations have not even been officially addressed yet, so I assume it will get worse.

A number of SEC schools were wondering about Ole Miss recruiting, not just Saban.

As for the scrutiny, a number of schools would probably not like the attention. I would guess the nickel and dime "extra" benefits happens all the time and money gets exchanged in small amounts. I would guess the line gets crossed when coaches are involved or know about the dealings. Also when you start talking about thousands of dollars to one player it's going to get out. It may be hypocrisy depending on how you feel about paying players and whether they are exploited.  It's the rules in place now, however,  and everyone is supposed to follow them.

As for cheating on the ACT, I think this happens a lot but if you get caught sanctioning this you deserve to get busted. 

I guess the feeling from Ole Miss is that the bullseye was targeted as soon as they started getting big time recruits and the extra scrutiny is unfair. Happens all the time. There were whispers about Donovan when he started at UF. They never found anything.  At this point it appears Ole Miss has admitted to violations and self imposed penalties so there is something to the allegations. 

I would wait and see how this plays out before I defended Freeze too much.
