I realize the reverse is true as well. But some of the rationalizations, such as relying on separation of powers, look kind of weak in the context of what Trump is saying and doing. And it's clear he's not going to change. He said so himself today.

If people think Bush and Obama stretched and abused executive power they will be agog at what Trump does.  It will be like comparing a 15 minute sun shower with hurricane Katrina.  Congress has already shown that they lack the backbone to actually do their job, this collection of pathetically weak and sniveling self-interested fools will be controlled, bypassed and manipulated; this incredible power vacuum they leave in their ineffectual wake will be filled with a vengeance by someone like Trump.
