As screwed up as our politics are, I love my country.

I'd much rather die on some military expedition, misguided or not, fighting with my brothers than hit by a drunk driver, shanked by a meth head, shot by a street punk, or killed by someone more interested in texting than watching the road.

I just wish we wouldn't half-ass #badword#. These "quagmires" are mostly self-inflicted failures of policy.

I suppose the short version is: if you want a war, then have a war with a clear objective to win said war. Indefinite occupations with limited combat operations without a defined endgame, I'd just assume stay home.

That being said, while I'm there...I'm there to do a job, not ponder the politics of it.
