Message Replied To ========== My favorite Jeremy Foley moment... I brought my wife (at the time my girlfriend) to a baseball game a few years ago. I was able to introduce her to him and then he immediately asked how my dad was doing. That always stuck with me. I wouldn't think he would know us from Adam but I guess he got used to seeing us at all the games over the years. The one that makes me laugh was seeing him at a Bennigans by the Orlando airport one night in 2000 or so... I was working the early evening shift at UPS at the time and we went there to blow off some steam after a crazy shift. He was there having a beer and was set to fly out in the morning for a convention. I went to say hello and my first question was "when are we going to get a scoreboard that we can see from the SEZ to match the one in the NEZ"... he said "I get that a lot" and laughed. Then he let me pick his brain about a career in sports. Sometimes I wish I had took his advice. ==============================day in walks a Jeremy, Ron Zook, and Larry Fedora all wearing the mandatory surgeon masks for a visit. Appreciated? You bet. Necessary? Not at all. Damn nice gesture among the countless many I received not the least of which were from the many folks here. |
