After taking two bullets and going through two surgeries, my friend is on the mend and expected to be discharged, maybe as early as tomorrow!! I know it's going to be a difficult emotional time ahead, considering that she lost her close friend, Luis, that night while witnessing unimaginable horrors. But, she is a very strong woman who is surrounded by family and friends, so I am confident that she live a full life; one that will honor the memoreis of Luis and the others' who died last week.
