It's been compared to challenging a negative credit mark on your credit record.

You show that you aren't the [enter name here] who is allegedly engaged in nefarious conduct and they take you off the list.

If you are that person, then it might be a bit more difficult. And you know what...GOOD.

Because it takes a bit of effort to get put on a TERROR WATCH or No-Fly list so it should require a bit more process to get off said list.

Yet, even in that case, there is still a process for having your name removed.

before I can fly on a plane or buy a gun.  If the US gov't thinks I'm a terrorist, then first convince a judge that I shouldn't be allowed to fly or buy a gun. This is how it's supposed to work.
