Democracy is founded on the principle that the people know better what is good for them. The lack of faith in that concept and the utter disdain for those who hold opposing opinions is much more disturbing than whether Britain leaves or remains. No nation can survive very long when the sides villify each other.

I am neutral on the Brexit but the more I read from the "experts" the more I think abolishing the EU would be the best thing. Those who favor remaining ignore the history of Lisbon, how EU trade agreements have come to pass, the banana bend etc. Forcing immigrants on unwilling populations without giving them a democratic voice in the matter was just the final straw.

If the self proclaimed "experts" would hold off with their disgust of the common man for a minute and try to understand WHY they are so upset with the EU, then perhaps all of this could have been avoided. But the "we 'experts' are so much smarter than you" arrogance serves no constructive purpose.
