A few Dallas police can't "polish their badges" tonight. ==============================I think we are all tired of cops being sniped; black men being killed by cops; kids being killed in schools; citizens being mowed down in churches, theatres and dance clubs; blacks killing blacks in inner cities - this is so out of hand at this point. What is the answer? All the laws and debate won't solve where we are now. We are in a different place. We have lost how to love and respect the dignity of each human. Not all of us, but a few of us...a few of us who will commit heinous acts. The only answer I have for me - the best I can do, is to rethink my relationships and how I interact with each person I come in contact with and make sure I treat them with respect and dignity and avoid any temptation to run to my political corner, inflame, put down, or be negative. Set an example of empathy and love. |
