Here's an update on Jamie. After spending a few days in the ER, Jamie's condition has been stabilized and she's been moved back to long-term care for now. That's good news.

For both of them, initial success of the Go Fund Me campaign means one less thing to worry about in the near term. And Heather is extremely grateful to everyone for the outpouring of support. But it's not all good for Jamie.

Jamie is very frustrated as would be anyone in her condition. She can't do much; even responding to well wishes is sometimes more than she can physically manage.

Our challenge now is two fold. We need to continue to share and succeed with the campaign so that they can manage the financial burden long term (still need the O+ transplant), but also we need to help Jamie to mentally get through the ordeal.

Give Jamie a post or private message on Facebook. Remind her of better days past with stories or pictures. Or better still, remind her that better days still await once this challenge has been met. And don't let her forget that the next Gator season is less than 2 months away. Maybe someone can get Tim Tebow to send her a note. She's always been an admirer both on and off the field.

And thanks once again to everyone for your generosity, whether you've helped with donations, sharing, comfort or keeping Jamie and Heather and friends in your thoughts and prayers (the good kind, not the hollow political ones!)
