reply to somebody else.  All I did was to ask where you heard your claim that it essentially not an ambush on the police, since I, and others, had not seen it reported anywhere.  You responded with CNN and others, which turned out to be incorrect.  You than edited your post with a rather snarky "be your own Google monkey".  You then posted the name of a local TV station, later editing it to correct the wrong station.  I found the station website, posted a link for the story, and noted that, at the time, there was only one unidentified witness who had stated that he believed the shooting began before the police arrived on the scene.

If any of this upsets you, then accept my apology, as that was not my intent.  I was simply attempting to get a few facts, as best they may be determined as the situation was unfolding.  I find it generally to be more useful in following that rule of thumb, rather than jumping to conclusions ...... although things do often appear a certain way which may turn out to be true.
