"Old People's Lives Do Matter As Well:"

Edited by Author at 7/27/2016 - 5:20 p.m.

WHAT IF ALL OLD PEOPLE SUDDENLY WERE SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD UPON REACHING AGE 65, WHICH IS 16.6% OF THE TOTAL US POPULATION:

We would save 15% of the total budget on Medicare

We would save 24% of the budget on SS

We would reduce cancer rates by 60-70%

A 80-90% reduction in Alzheimer's raising the IQ rate to that of number one in the world

Enlarged prostates would go down by 65%.

Osteoporosis cases would go down 67%.

We could reduce health care spending by $991,000,00 in 2012 dollars

Instead of money going to the assisted living industry and nursing homes, early inheritances could help young people escape student loan debt.

Amount of people in poverty would drop 10%

Nursing home occupancy rates would plummet.

VA could cut spending by 80%.

There would be no more wealth transfers from the poorest part of the population (the unborn) to the richest part of the population (the elderly)

Snopes would finally be able to get some rest from having to debunk forwarded e-mails

TRUMP WOULD LOSE 51% OF HIS BASE

And all elder lawyers would have to find a real job!

So, as sad as it is, Old people's lives really do matter.

Now I am not saying all old people should be shot in the back of the head, just giving some examples for discussion.
