reason for their preference is the upcoming Supreme Court appointments.

What that tells me is that they would actually vote for Trump (or theoretically the worst possible Republican who can be found) over ANY Democrat. 

Hillary's nominees are no more likely to be liberal than Obama's or Bernie's or Biden's or pick a name's.  

What y'all are telling me is that any Republican is preferable to you over any Democrat.  You just need reasons as tools.

This observation applies only to the SC nomination folks. I fully recognize that there are very legitimate reasons to be Never Hillary.

Garland is about as good as we may expect from Obama--we could get a lot worse (I wanted Judge Jane Kelly myself). I expect HRC will nominate a Harriet Miers type that will be shouted down.

But who knows what Trump may nominate. He may nominate Caligula's horse for all we know.

In any event the Senate is dodging its duty to vote on the nominee. Again the GOP believes in the constitution when it wants to, but finds it quaint when it doesn't.
