"RE: Typical media echo chamber and early lines..." |

Message Replied To ========== Typical media echo chamber and early lines... GN: OK, what about Tennessee? Danielson: If Tennessee doesn’t win (the SEC East), it will be really tough to swallow for Tennessee. I think they will win the East, but in order to do it, they will have to win a couple of tight games, which is something they had trouble with a year ago. They will probably show up in Atlanta (for the SEC championship game) and be outmanned (by the West Division champ). Don’t get me wrong. Tennessee is very physical and they are a really good football team. But right now they are the least ready to win the tight games. That includes their fans, their players and their coaching staff. That is a big hurdle. They will have to win more than one of those tight games. RELATED: Butch Jones: ‘I told our staff we need to embrace the expectations‘ GN: Can either Georgia or Florida challenge Tennessee in the East? Danielson: As for the rest of the teams in that division, I just don’t see it. Georgia has problems at running back. Greyson Lambert isn’t the guy to move that team forward. They are weak at linebacker, weak at wide receiver. Florida has two transfers trying to play quarterback. They got the breaks they needed to get off to a fast start last season. South Carolina may be a little bit better defensively because Will (Muschamp) is a good coach.

-- Starred by: chigatorbri MichiGator Thunder SWAMP Fever gatorvette1012 -- “Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late… It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision… It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.” Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864 "I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of a free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it."
