"I have zero respect for any GOP pol endorsing Hillary"

Message Replied To ==========

BBG makes good points. I'd add this.....

Native linked to an article Rick Wilson wrote on this topic the other day - at this point he thinks it's best for the long-term health of a Republican Party rebuild for Trump to get absolutely trounced. He's not alone in thinking this among some noted Republicans that fall into the UFNY branch of the party, at least from what I've been reading as of late.

Yeah, voting for Johnson/Weld could send a message, but it could also help do the opposite. Anything that makes the margin tighter makes it easier for the Republicans to dismiss the results as "bad candidate", not as fundamental problems with their message, platform and their ever-shrinking base. It's not like they don't have a past track record of this happening - they wrote a detailed autopsy about the need for fundamental changes after the Romney loss and then completely ignored it.

==============================

Because that means they are willing to give up the SCOTUS. That will have a much longer lasting detrimental effect on America and conservatism than even a short lived Trump Presidency. I won't support any Republican that openly endorses her ever again. They can withold support Trump by all means, but endorsing Hillary? No way.
