I will never understand why the rest of the civilized Western world seems to believe that humans should look after fellow humans, when in this country, if you're unlucky... sorry.  You're just screwed.

I pay more for everything now knowing that the 27 year old kid (a friend) in Asheville who was never able to get coverage (because of what she was born with) now can... and I'm perfectly okay with it.

I don't like the America where your birth fortune is your fate.  I like the kumbayah approach that we should all assume we could be the unlucky one and therefore we should all accept some responsibility toward one another.

I guess that makes me a loser lib. 

It sucks. The "healthcare" it provides on the exchanges and through Medicaid sucks and eliminates those patients from being eligible for other charity aid such that it is often worse than being uninsured. Worse yet, the ACA has stuck the governments dirty stinking regulatory fingers into everyone's healthcare and insurance such that it is driving up costs and lowering quality for most in the US.

It can't be "tweaked".
