BREAKING: Florida does not care about Louisiana's feelings

There are a few people providing insight and reason on this board. I am not one of those people. It would be quite alright if no one else was either.

The only way Louisiana can have my respect now is if they get on their collective knees and beg for it. No worries. You are'a gettin' there. Balling your eyes out, while stomping your feet into those tear puddles, is the most effective way at communicating your needs to the UF administration. Plot twist: They are not going to care either way. Double plot twist: Neither will I.

How many professors, deans, academics administrators, board members, graduate students, undergraduate students listed "football program" in their top 20 reasons for being at UF? Do you think the majority of them gives a damn whether their football team loses all its game? You can maybe say UF was being overly cautious, but scared? Do you even know how to education?

Can you math this out? Florida is the fourth most populous state in the union (19,552,860). Take the entire population of Louisiana (4,625,470), Mississippi (2,991,207), Alabama (4,833,722) and you still have not reached the number of Floridians who were within at least swatch of high winds and flooding on Thursday. Your podunk state cannot handle HALF of Florida's population. You will never be in that conversation. Your state can be split up between New Orleans and places that are not New Orleans, which is like dirt and rocks and trees and grass and sometimes there is a person, but usually there is not a person and its just more dirt. You might as well be New Hampshire to be quite honest. You sit at the kid's table.

When it comes to potentially moving the equivalent of the entire population of Louisiana off the east coast of Florida, you use massive roads like Interstate-10, Interstate-4 and Interstate-95 and Florida Turnpike and Interstate-75 and they are ALL within spitting distance of a certain college town.

I actually wanted this game to be played on Saturday at noon in Gainesville. It very likely was possible. UF did not ask me. UF did not even have the courtesy to ask Mudlizard, nor any of the other posters here. So why are you here? And why aren't you crying enough? I haven't heard nearly the amount of crying it takes to unmake decisions. You're not doing your job as babies, at least your AD is trying to become a caricature of a adult baby. Step up your game.

The University of Florida is an ambassador to the state of Florida, being politically and financially minded. Can you imagine the public relations nightmare if Matthew had wobbled west and caused billions of dollars in devastation, wiped out entire families and videos were plastered on CNN and FoxNews and then UF was sucking up resources and man-power to play a football game? Yikes.

Oh, but let's agree to play it on Sunday in Gainesville because the storm will have passed. LOL Your director is a chode. Sunday is when, worst-case scenario, humanitarian resources would be "clogging up the roads" around Gainesville to rescue flood victims and provide relief. Like I said, your state is at the kid's table. Katrina or no Katrina. You cannot even begin the fathom the amount of affected people in a worst-case scenario, nor the difficulties in helping them if I-95 had been completely washed out. It is not stupidity on your end, just straight up ignorance.

And go to Red Stick? No. LOL. Because after it goes from Board of Trustees and our President, who I guarantee nixed any idea of the game being played here at any point during the weekend, for public relations (most people do not care about football, sorry), it goes to the athletic department.

Our athletic department has financial interests and sponsors. And those entities would not have accepted guaranteed loss of millions upon millions of dollars. As long as rescheduling the game to a later date is on the table, they would lobby for that 10-out-of-10 times. There is no love of the game. There is no, "let the boys play". There is money and there is money and there is money. And anyone is stupid to think otherwise. Both sides played the game and UF can still turn to their boosters and sponsors and say, "our priority is still to make you guys money, we have not lost that yet".

And BTW, LSU was playing the same game in reverse. Anyone not hooked on your TMZ-style athletic department could see it was all about negotiating money; it was straight-up PR and business.

No one asked the players. No one asked the coaches. It never got down to that level. The only thing anyone was scared about was losing money. James W. Heavener does not give two sh!ts about losing a football game. No one gives two sh!ts about your feelings, so stop poasting. And please tell your new stations to stop trying to be TMZ. Florida does not care about your sports entertainment celebrity gossip BS either. Just accept that Florida has a bigger dick than you and move on. kthx
