1. We play LSU every year so we are not afraid to schedule them. I think some mis-informed fans think this is our rotating West opponent.

2. When we cancelled the game on Thursday, the hurricane was headed towards Gainesville, close to a direct impact. Given this information, playing on Sunday or even Monday was not an option. As it turned out, we could have played Saturday, but we chose to err on the side of caution rather than direct everyone into the path of a hurricane.

I don't have an answer as to why Georgia and USC were able to schedule their game on Sunday. Maybe the weather dictated that area would be clear of the hurricane or maybe they took a calculated risk that worked out.==============================

that UF and UAA were told on Thursday that no law enforcement, EMT, or emergency services could be guaranteed on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.  Throw in the fact that Gainesville was  the first stop for high percentage of evacuees to try to stay and being a jumping off point for much of the first responders and relief personnel and there is no way the game should have been scheduled for Sunday or Monday.  Foley did what he was supposed to do and did not drag the team under extreme adverse conditions to Baton Rouge to play a game.  It is his job to look after UF's best interest and he did that.
