it's a shame.  Before it, people died because they couldn't get coverage due to pre-existing conditions.  After it, it's clearly a disaster either because it was foolhardy or the obstruction was so fierce.  I admit that healthcare is possibly the most complicated issue and yep... sick people cost the rest of us.  But I want all to have a chance at a good life and if I need to pitch in, I'm okay with it.

Something has to give.  Telling someone, "you're dead unless your friends help raise a few hundred thousand" just doesn't seem like the best way to go... in my book. 

while you read about the example of someone going in for care, you don't read about those whom don't as they can no longer afford the deductible. Winners and losers still; you've merely inserted yourself in picking whom you want to win and whom to lose.

Health care, like theatre tix are a scare resource. Market economics has a proven record of effective and efficient allocation. And the shining example of America has been market economics fueled the productivity which has allowed our generosity. Choke it off and everyone loses.
